Dr Christian LeVan BVM&S MRCVS

Christian LeVan was born in London and graduated from Edinburgh University in 1999. He always knew he wanted to be a vet and helped out at weekends and evenings at his local clinic from the age of 11. He spent several years working in various parts of the UK dealing with both farm animals and pets, including time at the RSPCA hospital in central Birmingham and regular periods at our affiliated clinics at Blythwood Vets. He is interested in all aspects of medicine and surgery.

Christian lives above the clinic in West Hampstead with his wife and son, and acts as butler to his three cats – Bertie, Bullet and Google, as well as Chester the Border Terrier who stays part time. Outside of work Christian loves rock climbing, cycling, skiing, swimming on the Heath and is an active fundraiser for the RSPCA.

Dr Rosa Ragni DVM, DipSPCA, MRCVS

Originally from Italy and having graduated and then worked there for a number of years, Rosa moved to the UK in 2002. Here she spent three years teaching at Bristol Vet School, after which she came to the Royal Veterinary College in London for another teaching role. In May 2014 she joined Well Animal Clinic, where you can find her every Friday and on some weekends. Rosa has a special interest in surgery, including orthopaedics and works regularly at the Blue Cross charity veterinary hospital in Victoria.

Rosa has a rescue dog named Gali, and also shares her house with Beanie the cat. When not attending to them she enjoys cooking, reading, listening to music, birdwatching and travelling.

Dr Katherine Grace BVetMed MSc (Vet Epi) MRCVS

Katherine completed her veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College in 2008. After graduation she traveled to the Cook Islands and volunteered at a charity clinic before moving on to Australia. She worked in North Queensland for two years, most of her patients were of the canine and feline variety but she did get to treat the odd kangaroo and koala. On returning home she worked for 2 years in Hampshire before joining the Well Animal Clinic team in 2013.

Katherine has recently completed a masters degree in veterinary epidemiology (population medicine). She balances her love of small animals with her interest in population medicine by working with us at the weekends and also for the Veterinary Medicines Directorate during the week , where she manages the UK surveillance programs for monitoring antibiotic resistance.

Tara Goddard

Branch Manager

Tara joined Well Animal Clinic early October 2011. Previously she worked for Optical Express.

Tara has 2 children called Tom and Freddie and a lively Jack Russell called Milo.

Karen Harper

Karen has been working at Well Animal Clinic for over thirty years and is also a well known local dog groomer based in St. John’s Wood.

Karen is passionate about her dogs and breeds and shows West Highland White Terriers, at our last count she had 7 of them!!

Head of Security

Early one morning in April 2011 a large black cat was left in a box on our doorstep with no note, collar or microchip. He seemed to make himself at home immediately and as such was taken on as security staff.

We think Bertie is a pedigree breed called a Bombay, due to his large size and dog like mannerisms. He can be regularly seen on patrol at the clinic.

Product Tester

Bullet is our feline product tester. Rest assured all feline toys, treats and accessories must meet his rigorous standards to ensure they are suitable.

He was brought in having been found as a stray kitten living on the Kilburn High Road in late 2009.
